How far is the closest beach?

Puerto Viejo Beach, the southern entrance to beautiful Playa Conchal, is only 3 km (about a 5-minute drive) from Casa Sirena. One thing that surprises many first-time visitors is that Playa Conchal cannot be accessed directly by car. Unless you're staying at the Westin Reserva Conchal, everyone reaches the beach on foot. There are two public access points:

From the south: Park near Puerto Viejo and enjoy a scenic 5-10 minute walk along the beach to Playa Conchal.
From the north: Park in Brasilito and walk the length of Brasilito Beach before arriving at Playa Conchal.

The Puerto Viejo entrance is closer to Casa Sirena, quieter, and is our favorite way to reach Playa Conchal.

How far is Casa Sirena from Playa Flamingo and Tamarindo?

Casa Sirena is centrally located on Costa Rica's Gold Coast.

Playa Flamingo – approximately 20 minutes
Tamarindo – approximately 20 minutes
Bahia de los Pirates – less than 10 minutes
Playa Minas – less than 10 minutes
Playa Grande – approximately 15 minutes
Brasilito – approximately 15 minutes

This location makes it easy to explore several beautiful beaches during your stay without spending hours in the car.

Do I need a rental car?

We strongly recommend renting a car so you can easily explore the area's beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, national parks and local attractions. The final roads leading to Casa Sirena are unpaved, as is common throughout much of Guanacaste, but they are well maintained and easily driven with a standard rental car. A 4x4 is not required.

Is the pool private?

Yes. The swimming pool is exclusively for Casa Sirena guests. The entire property is private and gated, giving you your own peaceful retreat to relax after a day at the beach.

Will anyone else be staying on the property?

No. Casa Sirena is rented exclusively to one guest party at a time. During your stay, you'll have complete privacy and full use of the villa, pool, patio, rancho and grounds. You may notice a small casita (guest house) across the patio from the main home. This is a private space reserved for the owners and is never occupied while Casa Sirena is rented. You will not share the property with other guests or the owners, ensuring a private and relaxing vacation experience.

How many guests can Casa Sirena accommodate?

Casa Sirena comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests with two bedrooms and additional sleeping accommodations, making it ideal for couples, families and small groups.
